Yes. In addition there is a private washer/dryer in each apartment as well as an iron and ironing board. We also provide you with thick terry cloth robes and hair dryers.
Yes. Each of our units has a full kitchen complete with stove, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker and dishwasher. There are grocery stores within walking distance of our units where you can purchase just about any type of food from around the world.
We are full time residents of Whistler and our house is a 3 minute drive from our rental units. We are also available 24 hours a day 7 days a week by telephone to ensure that you have a great holiday with no problems.
No. Since you are renting directly from the owner, you only pay the rate per night plus the 7% tax (which non-residents of Canada get back directly from the Canadian Government once you return to your country of origin... we give you the forms for this).
If you were to rent from a management company you would have an additional tax of 10% (17% total) and you would probably be charged with parking and telephone fees.
Whistler is located in the mountains and the village base is at 2,000 ft above sea level. The ski area is from the base to the top (7,200 ft) so the weather varies considerably. However, as a rule of thumb and based on us having lived here in Whistler for 7 years, the following will serve as a guideline.
Whistler is located in Canada and accordingly we use the Canadian dollar. Most stores will also accept American dollars.
There are about 10,000 of us who live here full time but we get quite a bit of tourism business which swells the population on weekends and holidays to about 50,000. This explains why our little town has over 75 restaurants! The main village itself is pedestrian only (no cars) and you can walk to it in under 7 minutes from either of our properties or you can take the free shuttle bus.
With respect to skiing/boarding, Whistler/Blackcomb is the ONLY place in North America where you have a one mile vertical and it encompasses over 7,000 acres of terrain.
